She has earned top awards in Paint Historic Waxahachie and was commissioned to create a 2023 Christmas ornament for the Texas House of Representatives. The meeting is March 2 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP).\n\nLaRose is a professional artist based in Maypearl\, known for oil paintings that depict American Indian\, cowboy and Southern landscape themes. She frequently paints on location throughout Ellis County and will be showcasing her plein air approach and historically inspired subject matter. Her paintings are represented by venues including The Rice Gallery of Fine Art and recognized by the Bosque Arts Center.\n\nThe meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing. Announcements and business will start at 6:30 and the Demo will begin at 6:45 p.m.  It is free to attend and the public is invited.
