DESCRIPTION:Please join CASA of Ellis County for the Grand Opening and Open House of the newly expanded office and training facility on Friday\, November 5 at 3:00 p.m. We are grateful for the donation made by the Clay Jenkins Family Foundation that allowed us to rebuild at 601 Water in Waxahachie\, the site where CASA of Ellis County has been located for 17 years. This new building will allow us to better serve the children experiencing foster care to which we are assigned\, our Volunteer Advocates who provide a voice for these children in the foster care system\, and our Ellis County community. Guests are welcome to tour the facility which includes a playroom for supervised visits\, an adjoining observation room\, our CASA Kiddos closet\, conference room\, training room and staff offices. CASA of Ellis County serves approximately 100 children annually through almost 70 community volunteers who provide educational\, physical\, medical\, emotional\, psychological and developmental advocacy for children in the CPS foster care system\, along with recommendations for permanency.
