We'll start gathering at the southwest corner of the courthouse at 4:45pm and cut the ribbon at 5pm. There will be a post-cutting celebration at Celebrity Cafe immediately following. \n\n \nOn the Brighter Side is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower individuals with special needs in Ellis County by providing housing\, personalized care\, enriching programs\, employment pathways and advocacy. We are building this community in two phases. \n\n \n\nFirst\, we are launching an education center with day programs\, focused on interactive learning\, life skills and social development. Second\, we are building a residential campus\, complete with affordable housing\, 24/7 wellness support\, a community dining area. It will include a residential run farm\, garden\, and campus store. \n\n \n\nIn doing so\, we strive to foster independent living and personal pride\, while giving families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in an enriched environment they can call home.
