The Paint Historic Waxahachie Plein Air Show returns the weekend of Nov 6, 7
and 8th with live music, art and wine walk. For more than 19 years, the Ellis County
Art Association’s Paint Historic Waxahachie Plein Air Show, has been a signature
celebration of art and culture in the historic downtown Waxahachie. This event
celebrates everything that makes Waxahachie legendary – artistry, music, and
community pride.
Over the course of a full week, 34 talented artists from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas,
Pennsylvania and New Mexico are painting the historic and scenic beauty of
Waxahachie, capturing charming landscapes, stunning architecture and vibrant
colors.
VENUE: The Ellis County Women’s Building 407 W Jefferson St, Waxahachie.
250 original paintings will be available for sale both days Nov. 7th and 8th
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As part of the experience the Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association
will feature a Plein Air wine and art stroll, Hachie Uncorked.
Artists will turn downtown Waxahachie into an open-air gallery as they set
up their easels and paint Nov. 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
Live music will serenade as visitors watch their favorite artists in action
while they browse through the local shops and sample Texas wines.
