Ellis County Art Association Annual Youth Art Show

Call for art for ECAA’s Annual Youth Art Show

Elementary, junior high and high school students may enter their artwork in the Ellis County Art Association’s Annual Youth Art Show in April. Scholarships, a gift certificate to Blick Art Supply and ribbons will be awarded by age group after judging.

The show is from April 10 to 12 and student’s artwork will be displayed at the United Methodist Church, 505 West Marvin Ave, Waxahachie, TX. Drop off is April 9.

“Our organization has a mission to promote the arts and encourage young people to develop their creativity by hosting this annual event,” Barbara Woods said. “I am always excited to see student’s artwork.”

Best of Show awards will be given at the elementary level, the junior high level and high school level. Best of Show Awards at the elementary and intermediate level will be awarded a scholarship to ECAA’s Summer Art Academy and high school Best of Show will be awarded a gift certificate to Blick Art Supply.

High school seniors will be given the chance to apply for the Mox Moxley Visual Art Scholarship which includes one $3,000 and one $2,000 scholarship. These students must plan to pursue a career in Visual Arts.
