Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie recently had their grand opening of their new East Patient Tower. The six-story, 85,000-square-foot expansion adds 50 patient beds, expanded labor and delivery services, a larger NICU, advanced emergency and cardiac care capabilities, and additional specialty services that will allow more patients to receive high-quality care close to home. The new tower also creates space for the hospital's growing family medicine residency program, helping develop the next generation of healthcare professionals to serve the community. Hospital leaders emphasized that the expansion is the result of strong partnerships between Baylor Scott & White, local government, and the community, all working together to meet the needs of Ellis County's rapid growth.
