Runnin’ Free Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Ennis dedicated to providing trauma-informed equine-assisted services to individuals and families throughout North Texas. Founded in 2015 by Amy and DJ Dojahn, the ranch uses the connection between people and horses to support healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Their programs serve veterans, at-risk youth, individuals with special needs, and their families through both equine-assisted learning and trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy. Runnin’ Free Ranch is committed to making these services financially accessible, offering support at low or no cost to help remove barriers for those who need it most. Through its rescued therapy horses, community programs, volunteers, and donors, Runnin’ Free Ranch provides a place where individuals can experience hope, healing, and freedom.
