The Ellis County Art Association will be hosting Karla Brady Massingill, Texas artist, at the monthly meeting, Oct. 7 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). The public is encouraged to attend.Karla Brady is an Oklahoma native, now living in Texas. She works in both oils and watercolors and both states provide plenty of rural scenes and wide-open spaces, her favorite subjects. Artists from as far away as the Netherlands will set up their easels in Waxahachie during the Ellis County Art Association’s Annual Paint Historic Waxahachie Plein Air Show May 17-24.
