Downstream Technician
DOWNSTREAM TECHNICIAN
Monday - Friday
10:00 pm - 6:30 am
$19.55 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform packaging, labeling, and final visual quality inspection of all products produced on assigned production lines
- Conduct accurate counts and record quantities produced to ensure line efficiency
- Partner closely with Line Operators during start-ups, shutdowns, and tooling changeovers
- Set up, operate, and maintain downstream equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Ensure product quality and adherence to specifications and packaging requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, consistently using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production, safety, and housekeeping
- Identify and report equipment or quality issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Assist in maintaining production flow and meeting established production goals
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous industrial or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds throughout 8–12 hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic math and measurement skills required
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
