QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (DIRECT HIRE)
Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour DOE
(Equivalent to $37,440 – $47,840 annually)
 
JOB SUMMARY
A well-established manufacturing company specializing in commercial refrigeration systems is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join its production team. This direct hire role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying refrigeration systems and sub-assemblies to ensure all products meet quality, safety, and performance standards prior to shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and reliability.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Test and inspect completed refrigeration systems, including condensing units and evaporator coils, prior to shipment
  • Inspect and test sub-assemblies, including but not limited to:
    • Controller wiring and programming
    • Piping sub-assemblies
    • Electrical sub-assemblies
    • Condenser fan sub-assemblies
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate Quality Assurance records, including photographs and required documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Ensure all products meet established quality, safety, and reliability standards
  • Identify defects or inconsistencies and communicate findings to appropriate departments
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement of products and processes
  • Follow all safety protocols and company quality procedures
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience testing and inspecting commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Experience inspecting condensing units, evaporator coils, and refrigeration sub-assemblies required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and productivity processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently and make quality-driven decisions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, crouching, and bending for extended periods
